Our client trades energy products: electricity, gas, gas condensate and coal. They build a customer-oriented business with a focus on the reliability of supplies and high quality of services.

In a newly created full-time permanent role, the company is looking for a Back-end Developer to support their growth in the region on the means of creating a large ETRM system.

Located in the Sky Office Tower in Zagreb, you will enjoy modern facilities and be surrounded by a driven team.

The application is in the design stage so you will have the opportunity to participate in proposing new technologies and use your knowledge of how the application will be used to influence further development.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience of software development with Python + Django, Flask or another Python framework
• Ability to write clean, testable, and well-documented code
• Experience with web services and REST API design principles
• Experience with SQL Alchemy and Pandas
• Experience with at least one Relational Database (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Previous experience deploying to the cloud using Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or another relevant area

Would be an advantage:

• Experience realizing full cycle projects (entire SDLC)
• Experience in regular communication with application users
• Experience developing an ETRM or similar application or working in the energy-trading industry

Responsibilities:

• Writing, implementation, and maintenance of code using Python
• Play a major role in development of client-server applications for ETRM projects from A to Z
• Implementing unit and API tests
• Identifying areas for code refactoring
• Implementation of microservices
• Participation in code reviews
• Collaborating with front-end developers closely throughout development cycle
